Richard Low & Wife Had Their First Kiss In A Lift; She Was So Surprised She Started Crying

Is kissing someone on your first date considered taking things too fast?
For Mediacorp stars Chantalle Ng, 28, and Richard Low, 71, it certainly is. Especially for the latter, who presumably started dating in the '60s, when people were definitely not as liberal as they are now.
In a recent video posted on The Celebrity Agency's Instagram, the duo, who share a long history together, were asked about their love lives.
One of the questions posed was: "Have you ever kissed on a first date?", and both immediately shook their heads.
Chantalle, however, turned to Richard and asked: "Are you sure?".
His response?
"It's true! Actually of the first three girls I've dated, I didn't even manage to hold hands with some of them," he said.
Richard and his wife, to whom he's been married since 1982, also didn't kiss on their first date.
"When I finally kissed her after knowing each other for two to three years, she cried," he shared.
The actor said he finally mustered the courage to kiss his wife, who was still his girlfriend at that time, in a lift while he was sending her home.
"I couldn't take it anymore because I love her so much, so I decided to lean in for a kiss," he blushed. "Little did I know she would be so shocked, she started crying."
Thankfully, that unplanned kiss didn't scare her away.
When Chantalle joked "And she still married you after that?", Richard beamed and nodded his head.
