Republic Poly Alum Turns His Lecturers Into Runway Models In Cool Red Carpet Video
True talent.
You know you must have made an impact style-wise when your school reaches out to you to collaborate on a fashion video.
Digital creator Kristian Lenardt, 23, recently graduated from Republic Poly (RP) with a Diploma in Business. With his keen sense of style, he directed and filmed a three-part RP fit-check series, the first two featuring himself and other students decked in the coolest outfits.
However, it was the last video that really slayed.
Responding to a comment which requested he “style every lecturer from RP”, Kristian staged a red carpet fashion show, in which he dressed 19 lecturers in elaborate outfits that reflected their personalities and vocations.
In his Instagram post, Kristian revealed that he had styled his lecturers with only the clothes he had in his own wardrobe, and that he “put together the styling, planning, and actual filming of the video in less than a week”.
“This whole ‘RP Fashion Show’ series started because I wanted to bring something unique to RP’s content, something that shows how fashion can be both an art form and a means of self-expression,” explained Kristian.
He revealed he was initially “sceptical about the amount of support and creative freedom” he would receive when he was approached by the institution.
Thankfully, he was “met with nothing but unending support”, and was given control over the creative direction.
And just look at what he was able to create with some trust and confidence.
