Fact: Rebecca Lim wants to start a family. And she gets to live out her wish on the set of her new movie.

The 36-year-old actress, who got married in November last year, is now shooting local director Kelvin Tong's upcoming horror film Confinement, in which she plays a pregnant painter who hires a confinement nanny after giving birth. Creepy things start happening soon after, putting her and her newborn at risk.

The movie, which also stars Cynthia Koh, started shooting in Kuala Lumpur last week, and for the earlier part of the film Beck spots a fake baby bump.

And she’s loving it.

In an text interview with 8days.sg, Becks shared that while wearing the baby bump can get really hot, she’s definitely not complaining.

"Subconsciously, people around me are a lot more tender with me when I have my bump on. I guess it’s good that I do look really pregnant," she wrote.

The actress also had nothing but praise for the director and her fellow cast members.

"It has been such a learning journey. This genre is completely new to me but I am amazed at how director Kelvin Tong and his crew work together. They have this calm and in-control camaraderie amidst all the chaos that happens in front of the camera. Cynthia has been a strong comrade too. I’m really enjoying this so far and I actually still can’t believe that I’m in this. But now, chatting to you, it’s starting to kick in,” she gushed.

We're hoping to hear good news soon!

Rebecca added that she and her husband Matthew Webster, also 36, is hoping for their "little Angel to come to [them] soon”.

"We would like to have a baby born in any year. We definitely do not have any preference 'cos who are we to dictate when our little family will be formed right? Truly, we just wish for a healthy baby,” she went on to share.

"Quick little angel! Come and report to us soon ok?” she added.

Excited as she is, there’s one thing about being pregnant Becks is not exactly looking forward to.

“I can tell you what I don’t anticipate. The weight I’ll be putting on if I eventually do get pregnant. I’m going to be a whale, I know it,” she wrote.

But hey, at least people will be more tender with you, right?
