Qi Yuwu On His Expectations Of His Kids: “I Don’t Want Them To Be Like Me”

It is 11am on a Friday morning, and 8days.sg is gathered with other journos on the set of Ch 8’s brand new real-time cooking series, Ah Gong Can Cook, where Qi Yuwu is the special guest of the day. Hosted by Kym Ng, each episode features a different grandfather who will teach a celebrity guest one of their dishes and showcase their culinary skills.

The actor, who is dressed in a crisp white top and black pants, doesn’t look like he’s ready to get down and dirty to cook in the show, even though he’s known to be a good cook. However, he does seem pretty excited to talk about his kids, his four-year-old daughter nicknamed Baby Qi, and son Qi Didi, who’s two. (He and Joanne Peh famously refuse to reveal their kids’ real names and faces, except for sneak peeks here and there)
