10-Time Top 10 Winner Pornsak Was A No-Show At Star Awards As He Was In Japan Selling Soup
Will the 42-year-old host return to receive his All-Time Favourite Award next year?
Did you know the last time we saw Pornsak on stage at the Star Awards to collect his Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste trophy was in 2019?
The live stream host picked up his 10th Top 10 award at this year's Star Awards on Sunday (Apr 21).
Though the Left Profile artiste won his previous Top 10 trophy back in 2021, he was also nowhere in sight as he was then busy hosting a live stream with his former company Mdada.
Pornsak failed to make the cut in 2022 and he wasn’t nominated last year.
Are we sensing a MIA trend from Pornsak here?
Well, in what seems like a repeat of 2021, Pornsak was busy selling ‘qi-boosting’ soup with local actor Kang Chengxi on live stream during the awards.
While the duo hawked the benefits of the soup, they attached a link that allowed their followers to tune in to the live broadcast of the Star Awards.
When Pornsak’s name was called, he was seen shouting: “Did I really win? Can you give me love and like the ICHIGO page?”
“I’m really grateful to everyone! I can win only because of ICHIGO! You guys have never let me down, and I have such results all because of you,” he added before giving the camera a kiss.
After calming down, Chengxi is seen presenting a radish as an award to Pornsak.
“I’m really happy. I never thought I would win the 10th Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste award today. I really want to thank every friend for their support and encouragement along the way,” said Pornsak.
“Thank you for lighting another bright light in my life. I am a lost soul, but I am never lost in my career because of you. I dedicate my 10th trophy to everyone,” he added.
The biggest question now is: will we be seeing Pornsak at the Star Awards 2025 where he will receive his All-Time Favourite Artiste award?
It’s anyone’s guess, but we think an actual trophy will look much better than a radish, right?
