While most of us were recovering from our Chinese New Year food comas, Mediacorp actor Nick Teo was apparently recovering… at the pool.

Shirtless.

The 36-year-old recently posted a video of himself taking a dip, looking noticeably more ripped.

“Sunday vibe. Working out and getting a tan for a new role,” Nick wrote in the caption.

Netizens wasted no time flooding the comments section with thirsty reactions.

“I don’t know which is hotter. You or the weather?” a fan wrote.

“The weather is warm, that’s why I need to swim,” Nick quipped.

Even fellow Mediacorp actor Jona Chung chimed in: “Bro chill, my mum uses this app.”

Relax, Jona. We’re quite sure no one hid their IG content from mummy when filming last year’s water polo drama The Cellphone Swap, okay?

If you think this is a one-off flex, it isn’t.

A quick scroll through Nick’s Instagram shows he has already been serving gym gains during a recent Thailand trip.

And before anyone asks, no, wife Hong Ling does not seem bothered. In fact, she commented simply: “Daddy”.

When 8days.sg reached out to Nick, he confirmed the transformation is for the upcoming Mediacorp drama In His Hands, set to premiere in September.

He plays a fighter, which means the role is physically demanding.

“My character also likes to take off his shirt, and I will be topless for many of them,” he reveals.

Does this mean resident hunk, actor Tyler Ten, who is also starring in the drama, will face some competition there?

Nick also shared that Hong Ling has been fully invested in his fitness journey.

“Initially, I needed someone to see my progress, and not just me thinking it is good enough, so I’ve been updating her,” he said.

“Now she’s been making comments that she really likes how my body looks, so I guess she’s pretty much loving it,” he quips.

Nick also shared with 8days.sg how his meals look on a typical day.

Breakfast is four eggs, two onsen, two scrambled, plus a brown rice cake.

For a snack, he has a banana, and for lunch, it’s a grilled chicken thigh and air-fried sweet potatoes. Dinner is usually ground beef with rice.

Nick also takes creatine as a pre-workout, and gulps down a protein shake after a gym session.

According to Nick, he already has plans to loosen up diet-wise once filming concludes in June.

“Probably, cheat meals will happen more frequently. Also, I love sweet stuff too much to stop eating it forever. I will cut out having protein powder and creatine intake as well. I will let loose for a week or two, then be back on this [diet] again,” he shares.

Nick also lets on that sustaining his current diet is the hardest part of it all.

“If I go all out with steamed chicken breast and hard-boil eggs, I will pretty much give up sooner than later,” he says.
