Nathan Hartono Performed His First Show In 10 Months With His Zipper Down; Only Found Out After
His attitude towards the wardrobe malfunction is so… fly.
Most of us have probably had the utterly mortifying experience of finding out — or worse, being told — that we were suffering a wardrobe malfunction in public. For poor Nathan Hartono, his little disaster only came to his attention after completing his first live show in almost a year.
Last Sunday (Dec 20), the Sing! China finalist returned to the stage after a 10-month pandemic-induced performance hiatus for 24OWLS’ Flock — The Xmas Edition concert at the Pasir Panjang Power Station. While we believe he had the time of his life rocking out in front of a live audience again after so long, it was only when after wrapping up his set when he looked down and saw… this.

Blissfully unaware of what’s going on down there
“I lived one of my nightmares yesterday when I noticed this AFTER my first live show in 10 months,” he wrote on Instagram last night (Dec 21), at the same time including the above pics of his unzipped pants. “I guess that’s what happens after you do a thousand performances in front of your computer with no pants. (face palm emoji)”
“Regardless,” he continued. “Happy for the return of live music to Singapore. And the return of pants to my life.”
He even jumped around on stage
While we can only imagine how bad that sinking sensation of severe embarrassment must’ve felt when the 29-year-old first made the horrifying discovery, we definitely have to give Nathan props for being such a fantastic sport about the whole thing.
We mean, would you have posted about something like this to your 125K followers? Especially since most folks in the audience were probably too far away or having too much of a good time to really notice.
Thumbs up for being so, ahem, fly
The comments are just as hilarious as this whole incident. When fellow singer Charlie Lim remarked that Nathan “should’ve gone commando”, the latter replied, “Jingle jangle dingle dangle.” Make of that what you will.
