Merlion Mascot Charms Crowd In Chinatown, Tourists Ask For His Schedule
The Merlion is a well-loved Singaporean icon, but as a jolly giant plushie, it's downright irresistible.
Recently, a gift shop in Chinatown, Singapore Gift Gate, took to Xiaohongshu to share a video of their mascot, a white and blue Merlion named Mo Li Au.
The shop is located at Trengganu Street and sells only Merlion-themed merchandise such as pens, cushions and magnets.
Mo Li Au, who has an adorable smile and a yellow crown on his head, was escorted by two bodyguards as he happily made his way around the area.
Many passersby were charmed by the mascot and asked for photos. One lady even attempted to put her face against Mo Li Au's, only to be rejected by him.
In the comments, netizens gushed about how they want to see him up close, with a tourist asking about his whereabouts later this month.
"If I go to Singapore on Nov 20, will I be able to see him?," they asked.
The answer? "You can look forward to it."
Now you guys know when and where to find Mo Li Au.
