Maxi Lim Took Off His Pants And Revealed He Has Gout & Athlete’s Foot During Live Stream; Comes In 2nd On Streamers Go Live Leaderboard

TMI? Not when you want to be the top live streamer on Mediacorp's new reality competition.

Maxi Lim Took Off His Pants And Revealed He Has Gout & Athlete’s Foot During Live Stream; Comes In 2nd On Streamers Go Live Leaderboard

On today’s (July 19) episode of Streamers Go Live, the ranking of the eight streamers in both Joanne Peh and Mark Lee’s teams were revealed. They were judged according to their live stream performance, which placed importance on their shop clicks and sales strategies, viewership, and showmanship.

Joanne’s team consists of actress-hosts Yang Guang Ke Le and Xixi Lim, influencer Das DD and model Paul Lee.

On Mark’s team are influencers Isabelle Quek and Tai Tai Chan as well as actors Shawn Thia and Maxi Lim.

Remember how we thought it wouldn’t be a fair fight between Joanne and Mark since the latter has a lot more experience with selling things online?

Well, we may have spoken too soon.

Joanne’s team is made up of some really strong streamers who managed to dominate the top half of the leaderboard. It also didn’t help that Isabelle from Mark's team was down with Covid on the day of the stream.

Yang Guang Ke Le came in third even though she removed all her make-up on live stream

In the end, Xixi, who sold sunscreen and looked totally at home as a live streamer, no thanks to her confidence, came in first.

She was followed by Maxi, Ke Le, Das, Tai Tai, Paul and Shawn, who was essentially last as Isabelle was on MC.

It was surprising that Ke Le did not rank higher. After all, she did take off all her make-up, displaying her bare-face for all and sundry, just to sell cleansing foam.

And sell it did. Her product was sold out in just 20 minutes.

Giving his all to sell his product

Maxi on the other hand, was the only streamer from Mark’s team to make it into the top four. The Ah Boy did the most to sell his products, which were massage socks and knee guards.

He actually took off his pants — don't worry, he was wearing a pair of Thai boxing shorts  and revealed that he's actually battling gout. The socks, he says, have helped with his blood circulation and have alleviated his pain.

He also said he has athlete's foot and wished he had the socks to help with the smell when he was in army. TMI? Well, not when you want to be a top live streamer.

Better luck next time for Shawn (left) and Paul

Paul and Shawn on the other hand, came in sixth and seventh respectively.

According to their team leaders, both streamers struggled with their Mandarin.

“When he starts speaking in Mandarin, as long as an English word appears, he doesn’t know how to switch back to Mandarin anymore,” said Mark of Shawn.

Paul was visibly disappointed with the results, and his captain Joanne also admitted that he was the weakest in her team.

“His weakness is that he tries too hard to prove that he can speak Mandarin. I don’t think it is necessary ‘cos there were people leaving comments telling him to speak in English,” said Joanne, who added that she didn’t feel like Streamers Go Live was the right platform for him to prove his Mandarin skills.

Yikes.
