Mark Lee Was Already On The Plane When He Realised He Left His Watch At Airport Security, But A China Airlines Cabin Crew Saved The Day

Imagine getting on a plane then realising you left something behind at the airport. Sounds like a travel nightmare? That's exactly what happened to Mark Lee.

Earlier this week, the 57-year-old local actor was on his way to Taipei for tomorrow's Golden Horse Awards (Nov 22). 

Mark, who was nominated for Golden Horse Best Leading Actor in 2020 for his role as a drag queen in the movie Number 1, will be there as an award presenter this year. 

The actor, however, ran into a hiccup before he even left the country, he shared on Instagram. 

Sharing a clip of himself already seated on a flight, Mark was heard repeating: "I was scared to death".

"Actually I had boarded the plane just now, but after reaching my seat, I realised: Why is my right hand empty?" he said. 

That was when it hit him that he had left his watch in the baggage tray going through the security checkpoint.

"I told the China Airlines air stewardess, she was very nice and let me get out to retrieve my watch," he said while expressing his gratitude to the flight attendant.

Mark also thanked Singapore's security departments and said he hopes that "all the bad things can happen before" he arrives at the Golden Horse Awards ceremony.

"Then at the awards ceremony, all the good things can come all at once," he chirped.
