In a recent interview with 8world, Ah Ge Li Nanxing, 58, talked about staying healthy and keeping fit.

He revealed that he recently started to work out and had joined a Japanese personal training gym.

Though Nanxing is in the pink of health, he explained that he has developed “old people problems” over the years, such as losing strength in his legs and having difficulty straightening his back.

“I’ve always tried my best to maintain [my appearance] ever since entering showbiz. After all, actors tend to pull all-nighters during filming, and have irregular schedules, so our sleep cycles tend to be poorer than others,” he said.

Ah Ge went on to add that he often visits Chinese sinsehs to receive acupuncture and tui na treatments. However, there's still the risk of him injuring his legs and waist when he performs action scenes.

When asked about his experience working out, Nanxing said that although training has not been easy, he has already attended four sessions and has been slowly losing weight.

He also said that having proper training would allow him to maintain his mobility in the future, so he will not need to use a walking stick.

Nanxing has no plans to become as ripped as these dads

So is he working to become as ripped as his peers Edmund Chen, 61, and Zheng Geping, 58?

Nanxing firmly said that he has no plans to become as muscular as them, and simply wants to stay healthy.

In the process of reaching his health goals, Nanxing also reduced the amount of carbs and fried food from his diet, and consumes more chicken, fish, veggies and eggs.

However, the actor also admitted that he’s a big foodie and is not the type to waste food. It doesn’t help that he also does food shows such as LNX v Hawkers, so he tries his best to moderate his intake.

Though Nanxing is not filming anything new at the moment, you can catch him in The Peculiar Pawnbroker and I Want To Be A Towkay on meWATCH, or watch it below.
