On July 28, Lee Teng shared the heartbreaking news that his wife Gina Lin had suffered a miscarriage six months into her pregnancy. The host asked the public to give them space to grieve and the couple has been on a social media hiatus ever since.

The 37-year-old has flown back to Taiwan to spend time with his wife, but is still serving his mandatory quarantine. His Left Profile agency boss Michelle Chong told 8days.sg, "They are staying strong and thank everyone for their concern during this difficult time."

Yesterday (Aug 6), Gina broke her silence with an Instagram post dedicated to her unborn son.

“After it happened, I kept blaming myself,” the 28-year-old wrote. “I wanted to close myself off or destroy myself. I couldn’t leave the house to face anyone. I was afraid that everyone would ask me about you when they saw me. I was afraid to see others whispering about me in front of me.”

“I started to hate myself and this world. I kept asking [myself] why I had to suffer this kind of pain when I love children so much, and have never done anything bad in my life. I’ll never forget this pain for the rest of my life. I started to doubt if I would ever get over this, and I even pushed away my husband who loves me the most.”
