Kit Chan Says She Is Amazed At Her Physical Transformation Into Mrs Lee Kuan Yew For The Upcoming LKY Musical

By now you would have read that Kit Chan, 49, will star as Mdm Kwa Geok Choo (aka Mrs Lee Kuan Yew) in the LKY Musical, which is making its return this September, seven years after its original run. 

The show will also reunite Kit with Adrian Pang, 56, who reprise his role as the nation's founding father. Kit and Adrian previously worked together in the Singapore Repertory Theatre musical, Into the Woods, in 1994... 28 years ago.

Kit took to IG yesterday (May 3) to share a short video titled “Becoming Mr and Mrs Lee” as well as a few black and white behind-the-scenes pics of her transforming into Mdm Kwa.

In her caption, Kit wrote that even though they haven't started rehearsals proper yet, she was already amazed at how "a costume, a wig, the right make-up and accessories" can complete her physical transformation into Mrs Lee.

Well, all that and an actor with whom she says she has "chemistry with".

In the photos that Kit shared, she is seen dressed in cheongsams designed by Singaporean master cheongsam maker Lai Chan. She also has on a wig done up in Mrs Lee's signature hairstyle.

Unsurprisingly, it was a love fest over in the comments section.

Celebs like Desmond Tan and Zhang Zhenhuan left heart eye emojis while Taiwan-based Singaporean singer Kelly Poon wrote: " Ahhh i so wanna watch!"
