Hongkong Heavenly Kings, Cantopop sweethearts, and young Chinese heartthrobs aren’t the only public figures who’ve had to deal with overzealous admirers — in fact, quite a number of our own local artistes have had their fair share of such encounters as well, as we learned from new meWATCH series Liar Liar Pants on Fire.

Here’s how the quiz show works: In each episode, hosts Kimberly Wang and Rao Zijie will be joined by three guests, and the five of them will take turns to tell a story according to a theme. Then, at the end, they’ll vote on who they think was lying about their tale.

In the first ep, we saw Kimberly, Zijie, actress Michelle Wong, Ah Boys to Men star Tosh Zhang, and getai singer Yang Guang Ke Le recounting their “craziest fan experiences” (as per the theme of the day), and well, let’s just say that some folks really need to turn their level of devotion down a notch or two.
