Billionaire Heiress Kim Lim Wants To Use Her Privilege To Help Single Mums

On Wednesday (Aug 7), billionaire heiress-turned-beauty mogul Kim Lim, 33, revealed she’s pregnant with her second child. While sharing the good news, Kim also pledged to support other single mums, promising to help them in areas where they are overlooked.

As it turns out, Kim has been spending the past year dedicating her time to doing good in Singapore and Thailand.

By working together with the various charity organisations in both countries, Kim has provided aid to the elderly, women, single mums, and babies.

Through her beauty empire, which include brands Papilla by Kim Lim and Illumia Therapeutics, Kim has also introduced treatment and skincare vouchers for mothers, in hopes of easing their financial burden during their postpartum recovery process.

As a single mum herself, Kim wishes to lend a helping hand to those who may not be coping as well in the same situation. She launched the redemption of a free Baby Care Kit, exclusive to single mums, which includes diapers, milk formula, and wet wipes.

She has also worked together with local organisations Babes, NECDC, and SSO Bedok to donate essentials to single mothers around Singapore.

Kim, who has been spending time in Thailand expanding her Papilla brand, did not forget to extend her help to the communities there as well.

She works with Thai charities that focus on helping women, children, and babies, and contributes daily necessities to those who require it.

Kim believes in using her privilege to uplift others, and to help them improve their quality of life.

“Whether it’s in Singapore or Thailand, my goal is to support those who are not as privileged and ensure they have the resources they need to thrive,” she said.

Over the years, she has maintained the belief in utilising her resources and influence to help people in need, such as delivering groceries to the elderly in Singapore. She has actively worked to expand this plan in the past year, moving her closer to her objective of “making a global impact”.
