Kate Pang Paid $49 For A Box Of 3-Ply Surgical Masks, But Received These Instead
The seller is avoiding her request for a refund.
With the COVID-19 situation in Singapore evolving every day, Taiwan-born, Singapore-based host Kate Pang, 37, decided that she should buy additional masks just in case the situation worsens.
Speaking over the phone with 8days.sg, she shares, “I’ve seen some stores outside that have been selling masks, but their packaging looked really dodgy. Fake masks give you a false sense of security. Masks are meant to protect both the wearer and those around them. You might let your guard down just because you’re wearing one, but if the mask is not doing its job, then you might be endangering others if you get careless.”
