JJ Lin Reveals He Has A Heart Condition, Has To Rely On Medication Daily

JJ Lin, 44, wrapped up nine successful nights of his JJ20 Final Lap shows at the Beijing National Stadium on July 13. It was during the final show that the local singer opened up about his heart condition.

Addressing the audience, JJ said: “In April 2024, I was diagnosed with a heart problem, and I have to rely on daily medication. I was really taken aback by the news.”

The mood in the stadium immediately turned somber, with his fans letting out a collective gasp.

"I never thought something like this would happen to me," he continued.
"At that moment, I really felt as though the sands of time were passing quickly for the first time in my life. How long can I continue to sing for? That question became very real." 

“But I told myself, even though my heartbeat has become irregular, I will continue to work hard."

The news came as a shock to JJ fans everywhere.

“JJ, please stay healthy. You promised to keep singing until you are 80,” wrote a fan.

A representative from JJ’s label JFJ Productions has also addressed the situation: “Thanks everyone for your concern! [JJ] has been going for regular medical check-ups, and after the tour is over, he will have more time to rest. When he’s done with all the work he has on hand, he will be able to take good care of his health.”
