Autograph-Seeking Fan Splatters Ink On JJ Lin, Stains His S$3.85K Prada Vest

It’s no secret that homegrown Mandopop star JJ Lin has very passionate fans.
Remember this Malaysian influencer who went on a 19-hour long journey just to catch a glimpse of the singer at the opening of his cafe Miracle Coffee at Marina Bay Sands in December?
Recently, JJ was greeted by fans at Changi Airport when he returned from his Bangkok trip and a video of an encounter between him and an overzealous fan made the rounds online.
According to reports, in a bid to get closer to JJ, the female fan crossed over a railing and chased after the star as he made his way out.
She handed JJ an album and pen requesting for an autograph, to which he obliged. But when he tried signing the album, the pen appeared to be out of ink.
Flustered, the fan took the pen from JJ and shook it vigorously.
To her surprise, ink splattered on JJ, staining his mask, sunglasses, T-shirt, and vest.
The fan was very apologetic and attempted to help him wipe the stains, but was stopped by his security team.
Despite this, JJ signed the autograph and even took a selfie with the fan.
He later removed his stained vest and walked away briskly.
Netizens were not pleased with the fan and criticised her for harassing the star and crossing the line.
There were comments like "He came back home happily, only to be splattered with ink", “If JJ Lin wasn't wearing sunglasses, ink could've gone into his eyes” and "JJ Lin is too nice. If it were me, I'd have lost my temper right away".
Some also chided her for ruining his vest.
A search online shows that the pink Prada vest costs S$3.85K.
The fan later responded, stating that the ink splattering was an accident.
She added that she had apologised to JJ twice and also offered to compensate other fans who were splattered by ink for any damage caused.
