JJ Lin Accused Of Looking Unhappy At Movie Premiere Due To Additional Commitments; His Agency Refutes Claims
It's totally understandable to be upset when asked to work overtime (hope my boss doesn't see this!).
But is JJ Lin one to get annoyed by such small things too?
The 44-year-old local singer was invited to the premiere of Brad Pitt's new racing-themed film F1 in London in June.
While it's been three months since the event, the singer unexpectedly made headlines again recently. Reports are now claiming that the tight work schedule and time zone differences resulted in him "pulling a long face".
According to Mirror Weekly, the actual workload during the London trip far exceeded expectations.
At that time, JJ was still in the midst of his JJ20 Final Lap tour, which saw him performing nine concerts at Beijing’s National Stadium, aka the Bird's Nest.
In the three days he was in London, he had to attend the F1 premiere as well as take part in a shoot and a styled street-appearance for luxury brand Tommy Hilfiger.
Despite a seven-hour time difference, JJ dove into work right after landing. He also remained professional and cooperative despite dealing with jetlag.
But the dealbreaker was when the local PR team reportedly added some last-minute filming duties on top of the originally planned media and promotional events.
They also allegedly kept pushing him to take photos whenever he had free time, depriving him of any rest, which greatly affected his mood.
JJ was said to be visibly displeased and the PR team only backed off after he raised the issue to his manager.
His agency, JFJ Productions, however, has since refuted the rumours.
“All the work arrangements were made in advance. There was absolutely nothing unexpected," they asserted in their statement.
"JJ had a great time, it was a very pleasant collaboration!," they added.
Not everyone's a whiner when it comes to work, okay? (Right, boss?)
