Jeff Ng, the local busker who went viral in 2022 for drawing massive crowds at his live performances outside The Cathay, is now moving on to bigger stages.

The 35-year-old musician will perform his first street show of 2026 on February 7 at 8pm at Marina Bay Sands Olympic Walk, and he's dubbed it “Singapore’s Biggest Outdoor Street Performance”.

The local busker is no stranger to taking over the boardwalk outside Marina Bay Sands. His performances outside MBS in 2022 and 2025 drew large crowds.

"Can’t wait to see all your familiar faces so we can sing along together again," he wrote on Instagram

On top of that, Jeff will also be holding his biggest ticketed solo concert come March 21 at HaveFun Live Show at Bugis+, with tickets starting from S$88.

Jeff shared on social media: "Throughout my journey, music has accompanied me through many stages of life — the highs and the lows, moments in the spotlight, and nights spent alone with my emotions. This year, I want to present a concert that feels closer to the heart, asking both you and myself, 'Are you doing well?'. I hope this time, we can we can feel a little closer."

He will perform a mix of his self-composed songs and popular covers, and also debut new tracks that were created during a period of self-reflection and personal growth.

In 2022, just a few months after going viral, Jeff came under fire after his ex-girlfriend described him on Facebook as the “worst person” she had ever met.

She accused him of emotional and verbal abuse, as well as multiple instances of cheating during their relationship. Jeff issued a public apology the same day, admitting that he had been "young and reckless in his 20s" and had "let emotions get the better of him."

Following that, Jeff made his Instagram account private. He was later called out by others, who alleged that he had shushed audience members who chatted during his bar performances, asked fans to remain quiet during a live stream, and even confronted a fan for unfollowing him on social media.

He gained notoriety almost as quickly as he rose to fame, and kept a low profile after the incident until September 2022, when he announced his return to busking at his usual spot outside The Cathay.

Jeff continued performing, and by 2024 was once again drawing large crowds at live shows, including at Punggol Waterway Point and Woodleigh Mall. He also resumed sharing content on social media and continues to perform at a variety of events, from local music festivals to weddings, gala dinners, and gigs at bars and restaurants.
