Jayley Woo On How Her Fiancé, Who Was Introduced To Her By Julie Tan, Has Breakfast With Her Parents Every Day

On Sunday (Oct 23), Jayley Woo, 29, took everyone by surprise when she announced on her Instagram that she's getting married.

Not just that, the actress also revealed that she's pregnant.

She chose to share this news on her husband-to-be's birthday, writing: "Dearest Mr Tan, thank you for giving me the reason and courage to live. Though I would say I'm not someone who gives up easily, I was indeed pessimistic once."

Jayley dated actor Aloysius Pang, who died in a military accident in 2019. 

In an interview with JustSwipeLah, Jayley shared that she's getting married on Dec 27, which is her birthday. However, the wedding would probably be "quite some time away."

According to Jayley, her fiancé, whom she already refers to as her "husband", since it's "just a matter of time", is in showbiz but works behind-the-scenes.

How did she meet him then? 

Well, it's all thanks to fellow actress Julie Tan, who was the one who brought them together.

When asked what made her so sure he's the one, Jayley said that "he's very stable and mature, and gives [her] a very strong sense of security."

But the most important thing was that he "gets along very well with [her] family, especially [her] dad". 

"If you get past my dad, everything is pretty much okay already," she quipped. 

In fact, her fiancé and parents are so close, they have breakfast together every day, which makes Jayley slightly jealous.

"Recently I've been putting in the effort to have breakfast with them, I'm scared he would steal my parents away from me," she joked.

She also revealed that she's now six months pregnant, and is expecting a baby girl.

"I think my husband and dad both want a boy. My husband told me if this is girl then the next one we'll have a boy."

"I was like "Huh? next one? [You're] thinking about the next one so soon, the first one's not even born yet"," she added.

Jayley said that her husband wishes to have as many kids as possible, but she feels that "two is enough".
