By now, most people would’ve heard about pop idol Jackson Wang’s Singapore sojourn, where he took selfies with local celebs, hosted a party at Marquee and fronted a Singapore Tourism Board campaign.

During an interview with CNA, the 28-year-old star revealed that I Not Stupid (小孩不笨) was his favourite movie growing up.

The 2002 satirical comedy by Jack Neo was a massive hit with local audiences and won several awards, like Best Chinese Film at Hong Kong's Golden Bauhinia Awards, after its release in theatres.

After finding out about Jackson’s shout-out, Jack took to his Instagram to post his response.

“Jackson, thank you for liking my movie I Not Stupid, if you’re still in Singapore, you can catch the film and its sequel on Netflix, and at the same time watch my other works if you wish,” said the director.

He revealed that many fans have been rallying for him to invite their idol to cameo in one of his future movies.

“If you’re really able to come and act, fans would be ecstatic," said Jack, addressing Jackson.

Jack added that he plans to release many more films of different genres in the future, and is “looking forward to working with” Jackson.

Ah Girls Go Army stars Apple Chan and Glenn Yong, along with many netizens, tagged Jackson in the comments section, hoping the Hong Kong K-pop star will take notice and make the director's dream come true.
