K-Pop girl group IVE held their first concert in Singapore at The Star Theatre last Friday (June 30), and over 5000 fans showed up to watch them perform their hit songs such as ‘Love Dive’ and 'After Like’ .

During their trip here, the sextet, consisting of members Gaeul, Yujin, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo, also met up with #JustSwipeLah host Jernelle Oh for a chat.

Gaeul first revealed that the group tried chilli crab together the night before their concert, calling it “a great memory” for them.

Leeseo sang high praises of the group's leader, Yujin

Jernelle then asked the girls to name their favourite traits about the member sitting next to them.

Yujin said that Wonyoung “is always humming [songs]”, and by doing that, always spreads positive energy to those around her.

Wonyoung praised Gaeul’s dance skills, while the latter complimented Liz on her “beautiful singing voice”.

Liz then gave a short preview of the song she was to perform at the concert. An impressed Jernelle complimented Liz with “Oh, sexy” drawing laughter from the other members.

Liz described Rei as someone who is very decisive, saying she’s “very good at making up her mind” and providing advice to others.

“Sometimes I get hurt by her sincerity, but I really think it’s good,” Liz said with a laugh.

Rei praised their youngest member Leeseo for her “bright energy”, while Leeseo described Yujin to be a leader who is “very versatile”.

“She’s good at English, Japanese and Korean. [She] can speak so well, and is good at dancing and singing,” she gushed.

The members were tickled by Liz's straightforward answer

Jernelle then prompted the girls to “share one bad behaviour of each member” at random, without having to point out who the person was.

Leeseo first shared that a member had a habit of “shaking their leg” while Rei wished that the person she was thinking of could “get ready faster” when doing their hair, make-up, and styling.

With a straight face, Liz said she wished the member would “be fair to everyone”. “Everyone, please,” she repeated in English, while the other girls giggled at her mock seriousness.

“Watching videos or listening to music without earphones,” said Wonyoung, before making a large cross with her hands in front of her.

Gaeul, who couldn’t think of any bad traits of her fellow members, then revealed she didn’t like it when the other girls wore heels as she is shorter than them and so has to wear even higher heels to appear the same height.

Lastly, Yujin shared that she disliked it when her members teased her, as it made her feel “very irritated”.

Gaeul showed Jernelle the dance moves while the other members kept time

The group then taught Jernelle the dance moves to the chorus of their latest song ‘I Am’. And we must say that the host, who introduced herself as part of the “Singapore girl group 4567”, did a very good job at recreating the performance after a short five-minute lesson.

Watch the rest of Jernelle’s interview (and see how she fared in the dance) in the #JustSwipeLah episode below.
