Insta-Buzz: What The Stars Were Up To This Week

Here are some of our favourite snaps from the past week.
Insta-Buzz: What The Stars Were Up To This Week

It's all about mums this week and it's not just because it's Mother's Day. One star showed what a fun mum she is while another thanked his wife who just had her third kid.

Oh, and there's also a healthy dose of Blackpink thrown in for good measure.

Chen Yixin met Blackpink's Jennie in Korea

Look who flew all the way to Seoul for the Jennie for Calvin Klein launch and even got to see the K-pop star in person?

So of course Yixin had to sneak a selfie right?

Meanwhile... Tay Ying, Denise Camillia Tan, Kayly Loh and Hazelle Teo saw Jennie and the rest of Blackpink in Singapore

Though they didn't get as up close as Yixin did in Korea, the foursome managed to catch Jennie as well as Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé at their concert at the National Stadium on Saturday (May 13).

The stars, who all showed up in black and pink outfits (duh), also danced to Jisoo's viral hit 'Flower' in the mosh pit.

Jasmine Sim tried wakeboarding for the first time

The actress, who was accompanied by showbiz pals Kayly Loh, Roz Pho and celeb couple Hong Ling, Nick Teo, was clearly very nervous about her time in the water.

Roz shared a video of Jasmine managing to "stand up a couple of times", and the reposted the clip, writing: "When you try your best but you don't succeed."

Slowly but surely, Jas!

Nurul Aini surprised her 11-year-old daughter Shaista Eman with tickets to K-pop group Treasure's concert

It must be so fun having Nurul for a mum.

"On the day of the concert, I told her I needed her to be my videographer for a make-up event. And then I pranked her with an “interview” in the car," said Nurul, before adding that her friend later joined them with a Treasure lightstick in her hand.

According to Nurul, she spent the past week learning all of Treasure's songs in her car, and that Shaista was "so impressed" with her efforts.

Lim Peifen spent Mother's Day making pasta with her two sons, Luke, seven, and Jude, two

"What a lovely and special way to celebrate Mother’s Day, making pasta with the boys, and enjoying it together afterwards," wrote the YES 933 DJ, who has been on a sabbatical since last year.

Also, how cute do Luke and Jude look in their little chef hats!

Shawn Thia gave his mum a bag from Burberry for Mother's Day

One way to pamper our mums on this special occasion is to get her an expensive gift, right?

We mean, doesn't Shawn's mum look so happy with her present?

Cassandra See had a retro-themed birthday party

The former Mediacorp actress sure knows how to throw a kickass party.

And she can definitely count on her showbiz pals like Chen Xiuhuan, Cavin Soh, Apple Hong and Phyllis Quek to show up dressed in theme.

Daniel Ong welcomed his youngest son Alexander

"So proud of u mama," wrote the former radio jock, who is married to art teacher Fay Tan. "You did it!!! Baby Alexander was supposed to come on 8th May, but decided he needed to join in the 5.5.Friday sales festivities."

Joshua Tan's wife Zoen Tay graduated from medicine school

"From holding your hand and walking through these halls together in year 1 to watching you soar now working in [Singapore] hospitals, I honestly couldn’t be prouder of my bb gurl," captioned Joshua.

"It’s been a privilege to be at your side, so now, uhh can I have a MC please?" quipped the Ah Boys To Men star.

In case you didn't know, Zoen, who's only 25, "started a business, got engaged and married, bought an apartment and renovated [it]” while studying for her Bachelor of Medical Studies and Doctor of Medicine degrees.
