Insta-Buzz: What The Stars Were Up To This Week

Here are some of our favourite snaps from the past week.

Insta-Buzz: What The Stars Were Up To This Week

It's durian season and you can bet our stars are totally enjoying it. A lot. One star has about 100kg of durian at home now, while another was invited to a durian party. Scroll on to find out who.

Andie Chen and Kate Pang traveled to Brisbane with their kids

Looking at Andie's travel vlogs makes us feel like we were there in Aussie with the fam too.

And we really wish we were... Just look at how much fun the Kandie family (aka celeb couple Andie Chen and Kate Pang and their two kids, Aden, eight, and Avery, six) had in Brisbane.

"Yes, it's winter and we're still going snorkelling," wrote Kate.

Guess the cold never bothered them anyway.

Tay Ying, Hazelle Teo, Denise Camillia Tan and Kayly Loh went wake surfing

Looks like the Tay Ying tried something new with her gal pals this week.

"Finally joining my #TTYL sisters for my very first wake surfing experience!" exclaimed Tay Ying.

The actress, who shared that wake surfing turned out to be harder than she thought, declared: "I’m so coming back to challenge myself further."

Paige Chua showcased some of her impressive pole-dancing skills

First, she can play netball, now she can pole dance. What can Paige not do?

We mean, look at those graceful moves around the pole. No wonder she says lyrical pole dancing makes her feel "free".

But as effortless as it seems, according to the actress, it did come with some "bruises and body aches" though.

Ouch...

Ang Junyang and Candyce Toh went on a date before baby no.2 arrives

Junyang and Candyce have a five-year-old daughter, Azalea, and are welcoming their second child very soon.

And it's probably why the couple is taking any chance they have to get some alone time together.

"When baby no.2 arrives, it might be very hard to see [us on a date]," quipped Candyce.

"Looking for fun and romantic things to do as a couple before the baby arrives. Junyang always suggests watching a movie together. Romantic meh?," she asked.

"Not romantic meh?" her husband retorted.

What do you guys think? Watching a movie, romantic?

Suhaimi Yusof was invited to a durian party... for work

That's one way to make the work day better.

"When eating durian is part of your job....Say whaaat??" wrote the actor.

Indeed. Can we have some of that golden yummy treat too?

Jernelle Oh's grandma received about 100kg of durian

If you thought a durian party at work sounds great, wait till you see this.

Ever wondered what 100kg of durian looks like? Well, it's basically this mountain right here.

"Someone gifted my grandma 100kg? worth of durians," wrote Jernelle.

This really puts the 'shan' [Chinese for 'mountain'] in mao shan wang.

Ya Hui met up with her secondary school best friend from 19 years ago

"Where did all the time go?" asked the actress who attached a picture of their younger selves for reference.

Honestly, we wouldn't even have recognised Ya Hui (or should we say Serene?) in the pic if she didn't point it out.

But hey, her friend even gifted her an old-school Digimon Bandai Original Digivice Virtual Pet Monster. What a great throwback!

Ben Yeo made his first Tiktok video with Herman Keh

This is what happens when you're friends with "The Tiktok Guy"

Seems like Herman - whose Tiktok video recently went viral - successfully got Ben to hop on the Tiktok bandwagon too.

Funnily, Cynthia Koh, who happened to be eating hae mee “ramen” at Ben’s izakaya-style food stall SG Umami, managed to snap some behind-the-scenes of the two while they were werkin' it.

"Caught them doing Tiktok..." she wrote.

"Not in sync..." quipped the actress. Aiyo, give chance can?

Justin Ang got a very ego-crushing message despite going on air every day when he was down with COVID

“Can you let Justin know [there’s] nothing special about [him] defeating Covid on day 6 as that is normal. Super strong people defeat it on day 4.”

Um, it's not a competition, okay?

Chen Yixin hiked up Mount Agung

Yixin's pics just make you want to climb up Mount Agung in Bali to see the breathtaking view for yourself.

"The best views indeed come after the hardest climbs," said the actress, who even spotted the Milky Way and some shooting stars during her hike.

Damn, jealous much?

Chantelle Ng and Lin Meijiao went on a Bukit Timah Hill hike

But it's okay, in Singapore, we have our very own Bukit Timah Hill which has great views too. Just ask Chantelle and her mum Meijiao

In fact, Chantelle says the misty mornings on the hill are "worth waking up at 6am for".

Mike Kasem found a little handy man at home

Mike's two-year-old son Casey Patrick Kasem has got to be the cutest part of this week's Instagram round-up.

Looks like it's really never too young to start training and "daddy's little protege" is definitely doing a great job.

P/S: Don't worry, that's just a toy drill.
