JJ Lin Shuts Down Rumours About How He Actually Met His Girlfriend

Ever since news broke that Singapore pop star JJ Lin, 44, is dating Qi Qi aka Annalisa, who is 20 years younger than him at 24, the public’s curiosity has gone into overdrive.

JJ is now shutting down rumours that he fell for her after watching her livestreams.

According to media reports, the ‘Happily, Painfully After’ singer clarified that the two met through mutual friends and firmly denied that it was “love at first sight”.

JJ also dismissed speculation that a livestream platform chairman played matchmaker in their relationship.

The couple went IG official on December 29 while celebrating his mum’s 70th birthday, catching everyone by surprise. According to JJ, they have been dating for a year and a half.

It is rumoured that his parents have also accepted Qi Qi, with talk of marriage already on the table.

Known for being incredibly tight-lipped about his private life, JJ has largely denied previous dating rumours. He was previously linked to celebs including singers Jin Sha, Yumi Lin, busty model Lilian Chen, and talk show host Weng Tzy Mann.

Since their relationship was made public, attention has increasingly shifted to Qi Qi, particularly her background.

Netizens are now saying she is “白富美” (bái fù měi), a term describing someone as fair skinned, rich and pretty. 

At one point, there were rumours of Qi Qi being pregnant, though JJ's manager has since debunked them.

On January 5, Qi Qi was spotted filing a report at a Beijing police station. It is unclear what the visit was for, and authorities have yet to disclose further details.
