How Ch 8 Actor Yao Wenlong Is Having A Thriving Second Career As A Fengshui Consultant

In Ch 8 drama Blessings 2, currently airing on TV, Yao Wenlong reprises his role as Lian Shuangxi, the business-minded co-owner of a popular traditional pastry shop. Turns out, the 47-year-old actor is quite the entrepreneur, having dipped his toes into several business ventures over the years. Though he admits that some of them flopped, that hasn’t stopped the go-getter from trying. His most recent business endeavour seems to have paid off handsomely. After getting acquainted with a famous tarot card reader, who he calls his “benefactor”, in the same year the actor says he had suffered a career setback (more on this later), Wenlong decided to “train” under him for two to three months, kick-starting his journey into the world of tarot card reading and fortune-telling. The actor invested about $300,000 ringgit (S$99.2k) in the aforementioned tarot card reader’s fengshui enterprise Mystic Consultancy in Malaysia. And so booming is the business that it recently opened its fifth branch in Kuala Lumpur.
