Hong Ling Reveals What She and Husband Nick Teo Fight About — And Yes, It Sometimes Involves Their Cats

The way couples raise their children can understandably be a major source of conflict. But who knew the same could apply to furkids too?

Mediacorp actress Hong Ling opened up to No Other Way co-star Yvonne Lim about her differences with husband Nick Teo in a recent reel by The Celebrity Agency.

Hong Ling tied the knot with the Mediacorp actor in 2023 after eight years of dating. The couple currently have three cats named Zhaocai, Jinbao and Eve.

"We always see you and Nick being so lovey-dovey. So do you guys ever fight?" asked Yvonne.

Hong Ling replied instantly, looking slightly amused by the question.

"Of course we do lah," she chuckled.

"Sometimes my tone sounds a bit harsher. I think maybe it's because my family members all talk quite loudly. At home, we'd just exclaim, 'Oh, do this! Do that!' We're more straightforward."

To Hong Ling, she doesn't actually think she's being aggressive.

"But when [Nick] hears it, he might think otherwise. So now I'm trying to find the balance," the actress added.

Upon hearing Hong Ling's response, Yvonne quipped that she thought the couple's main source of conflict was actually their cats. Surprisingly, she wasn't wrong.

"That too, because I'm the type who spoils my cats. But Nick is the stricter one," said Hong Ling.

"For example, sometimes Jinbao would pee and poo all over the place. Nick would force himself to lock him up, but I would secretly let him out. That's how we're different."

Guess we all know who Jinbao's favourite pawrent is now.
