HK Tourist Says S’pore Is Not Expensive, Says “Geylang Is Very Cheap” With “Many Hot Girls”
No wonder he's been coming back again and again.
Singapore may have topped the list of the world’s most expensive cities for the third year in a row, but it seems not everyone agrees.
In fact, a Hong Kong tourist even found Singapore, or to be more precise, Geylang to be very cheap.
No, you are not hearing wrong. Though be warned, we would take his opinion with a grain of salt.
In a video posted to Instagram, local actor Shawn Thia was seen interviewing the 75-year-old asking if Singapore was expensive to him.
The man didn’t hesitate and said, “No! It is so cheap here. Geylang is very cheap,” he quipped.
Clearly sensing where this was heading, Shawn raised an eyebrow and reacted with a surprised, “Eh?!”
The man went on to clarify (we think) and said, “The food is cheap,” and gave an example of the frog leg porridge there, much to Shawn’s relief.
Shawn then cheekily asked if Geylang ever made him tired, and the man chuckled and replied that it was “fun”.
“Many hot girls,” said the man with a grin before bursting into lewd laughter.
The Hong Kong-er also said he has been visiting our little red dot since before Shawn was born, which was in 1995, mind you, and that he planned to spend HK$5K (S$818) during his trip.
“Eat, hotel, enjoy life,” he quipped.
It is not mentioned how long he stayed.
Though does it matter if he has been coming back again and again for, um, cheap entertainment?
