Hong Huifang & Zheng Geping’s Daughter, Tay Ying, 25, Is Now A Mediacorp Artiste

Second-gen celeb Tay Ying, 25, is now colleagues with her parents Hong Huifang, 60, and Zheng Geping, 57.

Mediacorp’s artiste management arm, The Celebrity Agency, announced today (Jan 4) that Tay Ying is now part of the Mediacorp family.

In 2018, it was reported that Tay Ying aced her audition for a three-month acting course at Motown, a Chinese entertainment training academy. The next year, she jetted off to Shanghai to attend the course.

Since then, she has appeared in a number of projects, including martial arts drama The Good Fight and English drama Slow Dancing. She also made it into the Top 30 shortlist for the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes award at Star Awards 2021.

In a post on Instagram to announce the good news, Tay Ying wrote that she’s "thankful for the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone”.

Tay Ying also thanked her previous agency, Artiste Co, with whom her younger brother, Calvert Tay, 21, is signed to.

"Thank you for giving me a great head start to my career as an artiste, I can safely say that I definitely would not be where I am without you,” she wrote.
