Chinese Singer Han Hong Reveals Stefanie Sun Has Been Donating To Disaster Relief Efforts Secretly For Years

Stefanie Sun, 46, is known as one of the most low-key stars around and her not attention-seeking nature extends to her charity work.

Chinese singer Han Hong, 53, recently took to her socials to express her gratitude to Stef, whom Han Hong called her "best friend".

"The Ms Sun whom I respect, you've made a donation secretly again! Over and over again, you don't let me tell others about it. Why be so secretive when you're doing something good?" wrote Han Hong.

She said Stef has always been spreading love "quietly but warmly" and that she will always be thankful towards her kindness.

According to reports, the donation Stef made this time is likely for relief efforts for the Rongjiang County floods in June.

Floods in the Southwest area of China has reportedly displaced more than 80,000 people from their homes.

It's said that Han Hong's Beijing Hanhong Love Charity Foundation has been helping out with the disaster relief efforts and plans to donate two million yuan (S$358K).

As Han Hong suggested in her post, this is far from the first time Stef has made a donation to charity.

She reportedly helped fund disaster relief efforts for the 2008 Sichuan earthquake as well as the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

On top of that, Stef previously visited poverty-stricken areas in India and Niger–Congo countries to meet with impoverished children.

So she sings like an angel, and is probably one too?

Truly Singapore's pride!
