S’porean Claims Giant Hypermart At Pioneer Mall Does Not Sell Face Wash

While we don’t expect supermarkets to stock every brand under the sun, we do think it is a given that they will have the necessities, like say, face wash, right?

Well, not exactly.

Instagram user Fai_star_restaurant recently expressed his shock, claiming Giant Hypermart at Pioneer Mall didn’t stock any face wash.

“Jurong West, you all don’t wash face one, ah?” he asked.

According to him, when he asked a staff member where the face wash was, he got this hilarious reply: “Everything we also have, the only thing we don’t have is face wash.”

Was the staff being sassy, or what?

“You mean the market research shows that [people] in Jurong West don’t wash face?” he asked sarcastically in his video. He also clarified that he wasn’t out to tear Pioneer Mall or the supermarket down.

Turns out that this might not be an isolated case. A netizen commented Giant’s North Plaza outlet also didn’t carry face wash.

Netizens couldn’t help but chime in with one writing, “All Jurong Westies are natural beauties”, while another commented, “Maybe they use Jurong Lake’s water?”
