From Living On A Boat To “Date Nights At The Supermarket”. How Life Has Changed For Evelyn Tan & Darren Lim
The erstwhile actress-host will be performing at the upcoming President’s Star Charity.
“Imagine returning every year just for the exams!” the 43-year-old actress-host exclaimed when 8Days.sg caught up with her at the press conference for the upcoming President’s Star Charity Show (PSC). “It’s impossible to continue with our life on the boat as our children are starting to grow roots and have friends here.” What about the clan’s sea expeditions? “Right now, [the boat] is just for charter for people to come and enjoy. But it’s gonna be our retirement home next time!” she muses.
Evelyn Tan, Darren Lim and their four kids famously hogged headlines for their unconventional, un-Singaporean lifestyle — they lived on a boat for four years, while Mummy home-schooled Kristen, 14, Jairus, 12, Way, 10 and Elliot, 6, while they sailed the high seas. But the family has been living on terra firma the past two years.
