“I was 10 [when I first visited Japan]. I was in transit at Narita Airport with my family — I remember being so happy just being there. But the first time I actually spent time in Tokyo was in 2000, when I went there to source for clothes for my solo concert that year. When I was a model, there was a Japanese agency that wanted to sign me on, but it didn’t happen. I really wanted to go. Sigh!”

“We’ve been to Tokyo a number of times, but I remember the first time we didn’t want to take taxis because they’re very expensive. So we just walked everywhere. One evening, Chris finally couldn’t take it anymore and said softly to me, “Baby, can we take a taxi? I know it’s expensive, but can we take one, please?” (Laughs)”

“I have seen them asking pretty girls if they want to appear in porn videos. But no one has approached me… Shit! I feel so insulted; it’s a form of recognition, okay! The only people who approach me are tissue paper distributors! So disappointing! Don’t they know I still have some market value? (Laughs)”

“But only for filming. It’s an interesting place — there are a lot of vending machines where you can buy condoms and toys. I don’t want [to stay in one though]! I have a fetish for cleanliness! I don’t think those places are very clean!”
