Guess which iconic screen couple are working together again after more than two decades?

It's Fann Wong, 52, and American-Taiwanese star Peter Ho, 48, who played on screen lovers in movies The Truth About Jane and Sam (1999) and When I Fall in Love... with Both (2000).

This time, the pair will collaborate on upcoming Chinese series Breeze by the Sea, which will be directed by Peter.

In case you didn't know, Peter is now an acclaimed director. He was named Best Director at the Golden Bell Awards in 2018 for for the coming-of-age drama Age of Rebellion.

In an interview with zaobao.sg, Fann, who will fly to Taipei to film the drama in January, shared that it's been really long since she met and worked with Peter.

"He's a very good director and has won awards. I'm really excited to work with him again," she said.

It's also been a while since Fann worked abroad. Her last overseas production was Chinese drama Dive in 2019.

So what made her agree to this role without hesitation?

"I found the script quite interesting and the filming period isn't going to be too long. It has also been such a long while since I worked in Taiwan or collaborated with Peter. I think the entire team is great," she said.

It also means that Fann has to be away from home, and more importantly, her nine-year-old son Zed, for a month.

"This time I need to leave Zed, but I think my son's grown up now. This is a good opportunity to let him experience what it's like to live without his mother," she said.

We were surprised by how chill Fann is about being apart from Zed too. Remember her husband Christopher Lee saying how she once cried when she had to be separated from her son because of work?

Evidently, Fann has learnt to let go.

"This time I'm just excited because I haven't worked in Taiwan for such a long time!," she said.
