Emerald Hill's Ivory Chia, 9, Stuns Fans & Celeb Pals With Dance Video
The talented child actress goes viral for her ‘Ms Potato’ dance, showing off her talent ahead of Star Awards 2026.
We already know she's an outstanding actress, but who knew Ivory Chia could dance too?
Recently, the nine-year-old Emerald Hill actress took to Instagram to share a video of her attempting the viral 'Ms. Potato' dance.
'Ms. Potato' is the latest single by Guangdong-based influencer Bostick Chen, also known as Chen Tudou. With its exaggerated dance moves and expressive facial expressions, the track quickly gained traction on short-form video platforms.
Many netizens have joined in on the trend, including Taiwanese actress Amber An.
And now, little Ivory has hopped on the bandwagon too.
“Hello, long time no see," she chirped in her caption while the video shows her dancing along to the viral track.
Not only did she match the moves almost perfectly, Ivory also recreated the facial expressions, even lip-syncing as she performed — showcasing stage presence beyond her years.
Ivory's video quickly drew likes and comments from celebrities, including Chen Xiuhuan who gushed: "So impressive!"
Many netizens also praised her scene-stealing dance skills and standout performance.
Ivory, who joined showbiz when she was just six years old, won hearts for her performance as young Xinniang (aka Tasha Low), a child beggar raised by Chen Liping's compulsive gambler Ah Zhu, in the 2025 The Little Nyonya spin-off.
Last year, she won the Best Supporting Actress (Asia) title at the Asian Academy Creative Awards for Emerald Hill, beating Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung as well as Taiwanese star Fang Wenlin, TVB actress Yoyo Chen, and Chinese actress He Ruixian.
At the upcoming Star Awards 2026 (Apr 19), Ivory is nominated for the Young Talent Award for the third time, and is widely seen as a strong contender to win.
