Edwin Goh Just Got His Driving License, Says He “Can’t Wait” To Pick His Ukrainian Model Girlfriend Up At The Airport

Mediacorp actor Edwin Goh can finally ditch his 'L' plates. The 26-year-old star will no longer have to rely on Grab or his older sisters to give him a ride ‘cos he's gotten his 3A driving license. Even though he passed his practical test on August 26, Edwin only shared the happy news on Instagram last Wednesday (Sep 13).

“Better late than never, finally got my driver’s license!” wrote Edwin, who also posted a pic of him posing in his “shared family car”. In the pic, his newly-bought probation plates (new drivers are required to have the signs displayed on the front and back of the car during their first year of driving) can be seen in the background.

8days.sg that it took him so long to get his license — two years, in fact — as he's been “really busy with work”.

“I picked driving up again in June after they resumed business in Phase Two,” he said over WhatsApp.

Eight lessons and “more than $1,000” later, the actor managed to pass on his first try with 12 demerit points at ComfortDelGro Driving Centre.

“I didn’t keep track [of the costs] so that I won’t be sad,” Edwin joked. “I’ve always wanted to get my license because I feel it’s a necessity, but I was held up by other things. Besides, public transport and private-hire cars are just too convenient. If I got my license earlier I wouldn’t have to do the driving simulator,” he said. In case you didn’t know, all Class 2, 2A, 2B, 3 or 3A learner motorists are required to complete driving or riding simulator training before they are allowed to book their practical driving or riding tests starting from December 2019.
