Earlier this year in September, it was reported that local actor Duan Weiming had his left leg amputated due to a bout of health issues caused by diabetes.

The 61-year-old also revealed that he was planning to downgrade from a 3-room HDB flat to a 2-room, in which he lives with his girlfriend of 10 years. Money from the sale would then be used for his daily expenses after the amputation.

On Dec 7, Weiming attended a contract signing ceremony at the Asia TV Forum & Market.

Weiming, who was in a wheelchair, took the stage alongside
128 Circles executive producer, Thean-jeen Lee, who is also the managing director of local production company Weiyu Films.

According to 8world, on Dec 5, Weiming visited Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he tried on a prosthetic leg.

It's said that the actor will be able to get fitted with his prosthetic limb as soon as May next year.

That's not the only good news for Weiming.

He also revealed that Thean-jeen has invited him to reprise his role as coffee stall owner Uncle Larry in the third season of 128 Circle

Thean-jeen also told Weiming that he would edit the script to accommodate Weiming’s current condition.
