Man Finds Dead Rat On His Motorbike; Neighbourhood Cleaners Step In To Save The Day
A Singaporean man (@fadly.buddy) recently posted an Instagram clip sharing about an unfortunate incident that happened with his motorcycle.
According to Fadly, he had parked his ride at an open-air carpark at 8.30am. But when he returned an hour later, he found a dead rat on his top case, houseflies swarming all around the carcass.
Understandably, he was shocked by the off-putting sight.
“What is this?” he exclaimed in Malay, along with some chosen expletives.
“Just soiled my mood for the whole day knowing the trouble that I had to wash the bike not once but twice,” he said.
“I didn’t manage to get so near as the mosquitoes were very big and they had green and blue eyes buzzing all over me. I never had problems parking at that lot for almost six years.”
Thankfully, despite the very unlucky incident, Fadly was fortunate enough to encounter “friendly neighbourhood cleaners” that day.
“They were there hearing me shouting and they rushed to help me right away,” he wrote.
A cleaner approached Fadly’s top case with an empty cardboard box, and proceeded to calmly sweep the rat carcass into the box using its torn-out flap. Fadly, while filming the clean-up, was heard telling the cleaner: “Sorry abang.”
Did someone say hero of the day?
Later on, a fellow motorcyclist was seen using a broom to sweep and chase away the remaining bugs that were still hovering around his case.
Fadly, who could be heard calling himself “suay” at the end of this video, ended his recount with: “Is this just by accident or was it just not my day to begin with?”
When a commenter asked if someone had put the rat on his bike, or if a crow dropped it by accident, Fadly revealed his suspicion that a cat might have left it behind as there was “leftover fur” on top of the case.
Others found Fadly’s profanity-filled commentary comical, which you know what, was completely valid in this instance.
