S'pore TikToker Calls Out Darshen & Samuel For Leading Fans On About Their Relationship Status, Amid Rumours Of A Breakup

Who knew the Internet was this invested in content creator duo Darshen K and Dr Samuel Choudhury, better known as Darshen & Samuel?

Their fans have been having a meltdown after Darshen’s latest TikTok videos hint that the pair might have fallen out or broken up.

Darshen is a former Singapore Airlines cabin crew, before becoming a content creator, while Samuel is a family physician with Raffles Medical Group.

Both had already been content creators on their respective accounts — Samuel dispensed mainly medical advice on his account, while Darshen was a fashion and beauty influencer. However, they started creating content together after a Europe trip in 2025.

What began as a viral lighthearted series of 'My name is Darshen' travel videos quickly garnered them legions of fans, even from overseas. The pair then frequently made videos together, and while the videos hinted at a relationship (some speculated even a marriage) between them, neither Darshen nor Samuel has ever addressed it. However, now both have been appearing less frequently together on video, leading fans to speculate that the pair had broken up.

This has prompted local content creator Daisy Anne Mitchell to spill the beans.

“I don’t think having a fake PR relationship is that big of a deal," she said. "What I do think is a big deal, however, is pretending to be married, pretending to have a child, and then letting people in the comments or in other countries roll with the idea that you can’t talk about it, because [they think] the country that you live in will prosecute you.”

She was alluding to frequent comments from overseas netizens speculating why Darshen and Samuel never confirmed their relationship.

In 2022, Singapore repealed Section 377A, decriminalising sex between men.

“They’re not married. They don’t have a kid together,” she declared, before going on to say how there are many happily married gay men in Singapore who live together.

“Singapore is still very anti-LGBT country in general, but there isn’t any outward violent hatred spewing on the streets because Darshen’s and Samuel’s fan base is mostly in the US, where you do have these huge volatile reaction to different lifestyles,” she said, adding that the United States is a violent country, and thinks many people are assuming that Singapore is that way too.

Saying she only wishes the best for her LGBT friends here in Singapore, she also says that creators with a large following have a responsibility to be honest.

“When you have millions of followers, it’s also important to tell people the truth. And don’t steal people’s content,” she quipped.

Netizens were quick to respond, and one asked if she could prove that what she said was true.

"Everyone talks about this here, only difference is I ain't scared LOL," Daisy replied in the comments. "I'm a Singaporean content creator, the scene is super small here and the queer scene even smaller. Direct sources, babes."

Others defended the duo with rather impressive precision.

“They never pretended to have a child. They literally said it’s their friend’s child,” a netizen pointed out. Daisy later admitted she must have missed that video where they'd set the record straight.  “Last I saw, people thought she was their surrogate,” Daisy replied.

Another commenter wondered if Darshen and Samuel would apologise for leading people on, questioning whether the engagement money was even worth it.

“The brand deal money is, though,” replied Daisy.

It remains to be seen if Daisy's claims hold truth, or if Darshen and Samuel are still or were ever — a couple.

Earlier this month (Jan 2), Darshen posted a video announcing that they were back, and if they were missed.

Or, have things changed since? Was it ever that deep?
