Crabs Seen Crawling Around Jurong West Carpark, One Was Holding A Slipper
Such a crabby situation to be in.
When you visit a carpark, crabs are probably the last thing you would expect to see crawling around, right?
Well, it was exactly what happened to a netizen, who only wanted to be known as Dave.
The 30-year-old posted a video to his Instagram of a woman screaming as a crab emerged from behind a dustbin and walked towards her.
The crustacean even caused a minor traffic disruption, with a driver asking Dave, “Is that yours?” as he reversed his car.
The video then showed another crab holding onto a white slipper, and another chilling in the middle of a lot.
Speaking to 8days.sg via Instagram, Dave said the slipper belonged to the someone who had been screaming moments earlier.
According to Dave, it was about 11pm and he was dropping his partner off at a multi-story carpark along Corporation Drive in Jurong West when he captured the footage.
In the video, he finally spotted a van with its door open. “I think it is from that [van],” he said.
Inside the van were two boxes of crabs, one of them uncovered, which he believes was where they escaped from.
Dave told us he didn’t know who the crabs belonged to or what became of them, as they were gone by the next morning.
“After retrieving the slipper, the crabs were left to roam about,” he said.
With at least two fast food chains offering chilli crab sauce for SG60 this year, we are wondering if these crustaceans were trying to escape that fate.
