And four other do’s and don’ts the thespian had to share.

Christopher Lee’s Advice To Star Search 2019 Contestants: "Don’t Lie To The Media"

Christopher Lee has come a long way since he took the first runner-up spot in the male category in Star Search 1995. Now with 24 years of showbiz experience under his belt, the 47-year-old star is coming full circle as one of three mentors to the Star Search 2019 semi-finalists, alongside Huang Biren and Chen Hanwei.

While it’s been smooth-sailing for Chris the past few years, he reminds 8Days that he had “the most hellish” start in showbiz. Now that he’s a Star Search mentor, he hopes that he’ll be able to impart some useful knowledge that will help the contestants along the way.

How, you ask? Chris has conducted a couple of training sessions with the Star Search hopefuls, giving lectures on a range of topics, from how to handle the media to, well, just general life advice pertinent to artistes-in-the-making.

“Not all of the 24 contestants here will end up making their debut as an actor. Even fewer will be around a few years down the road,” he said. “I think one of the most important things I’ve learned that dedication to your craft is the one thing that will help you continue in showbiz."

So what else should the contestants keep in mind in the days ahead, we ask Chris. Here's what he had to say.
