Christopher Lee & Chen Hanwei Laugh At Rebecca Lim For Not Being Able To Cook; Hanwei Says She Should Learn So She Can “Keep Her Man”

Hanwei and Rebecca arrived, all dressed up and ready to do one thing: eat. However, they were convinced by Chris to assist him and thus began their attempt to help.

‘Attempt’ being the key word here.

It became clear very early on that Chris' guests were not going to be of much help. Great actors they are, but cooks? Not so much. Becks basically has no culinary skills while Hanwei revealed that he doesn't cook often because he loves being clean and that his kitchen at home is “basically a showroom”.

And that's why Chris did most of the heavy lifting this ep while Hanwei and Becks were assigned one task: chopping up veggies.

When Hanwei asked Becks why she can't cook, she said: “I have too many good cooks in my family”, before admitting that she is spoiled when it comes to her meals.

“But when you’re married your family won’t be moving with you,” said Hanwei.

Rebecca, who at this time was tearing up while chopping up onions, then replied that that's a problem for “the future”.

“If you want to keep your man, you must first take care of his stomach, okay? If you can’t cook, your husband will say goodbye to you in three years,” nagged Hanwei, like your sassy aunt during reunion dinner.

That led Becks to joke that she's actually crying “at the thought of [her] husband leaving”, drawing laughs from the older actors.

The trio also joked about how Hanwei is very particular about his health. The actor revealed that he hardly eats crabs because they are very high in cholesterol and how spring onions makes him gassy, which leads Chris to say that Hanwei always brings up flatulence when they meet.

Cue a clip of Hanwei on the 2018 travel show Away with My BFF, where he showed how half his luggage was filled with medication for all ailments.

“The point is, you think I pack them for myself, but you’re wrong. Very often, many people in production, actors, colleagues all kneel down to thank me,” said Hanwei.

“It’s true, I got the runs in Ipoh. You gave me the medicine,” concurred Becks.
