Orchard Road Visitors Scared By Prankster Pretending To Be Christmas Tree

If you’re someone who appreciates a harmless prank, you may want to head down to Orchard Road anytime now. 

Sophia, a Chinese Xiaohongshu user studying in Singapore, recently posted a video of a person, dressed as a Christmas tree, standing motionless next to a pillar at the entrance of ION Orchard. 

The tree-person lies in ambush then jump-scares unsuspecting passers-by. 

Majority of his victims reacted in the same way — they flinch in shock before grabbing their friend for support after catching on to the prank. 

Yes, it looks like what you would see in the popular comedy series, Just For Laughs Gags. 

Judging by the trolley and sign beside it, the tree-person is likely a busker who decided to take the naughty route this Christmas. 

Netizens have said that the same busker can sometimes be spotted at Clarke Quay, and is very friendly with kids… at least those who aren’t afraid of a moving tree.
