China's National Swimming Team Greeted By Fans At Changi Airport As They Arrive In SG For The World Aquatics Championships

It's not just celebs who get swarmed by fans at the airport.

China's National Swimming Team arrived in Singapore yesterday (July 23) for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships, and were greeted with a warm welcome upon their arrival at Changi Airport, with fans showing up to cheer them on.

The team will take part in the swimming competitions that will begin on Sunday (July 27). The 2025 World Aquatics Championships started earlier this month, with events taking place at the Singapore Sports Hub and Sentosa from now until Aug 3.

The China national swim team consists of top athletes including Paris Olympic 100m freestyle champ Pan Zhanle, Wang Shun, Zhang Yufei, Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang, and Li Bingjie.

Fans shared clips of the swimming stars' arrival on Xiaohongshu, with many happy that they managed to catch glimpses of the super fit "handsome guys and pretty girls" in person.

According to one netizen, they were at the airport to pick up a friend when they noticed "a whole crowd of people" gathered at the arrival gates.

Many are now looking for tickets to the matches — and they can still be purchased from Sistic, by the way.

There were also quite the number of people gushing over 2020 Summer Olympics men's 200m individual medley champ Wang Shun, with most agreeing he's "the most good-looking" of the group.

"Wang Shun is the key to getting a viral post," quipped one netizen.

As usual, there were also those who raved about Zhang Yufei's, or in their words, "goddess Fei's" beauty.

Netizens also left messages in support of the team, and honestly, we would be more surprised if these swimmers didn't walk away with a medal or two, or three, in the coming days.

"Zhang Yufei, you're so pretty!" squealed fans as she exited the arrival gates
Wang Shun, too, had most of the spotlight
And of course the team was led by 20-year-old Olympic gold medalist Pan Zhanle
