Chen Tianwen Once Slept In An Office After A Shoot; Felt Something Tugging On His Foot Even Though He Was Alone

The veteran actor has had his fair share of spooky stories to tell on a recent episode of Mr Zhou’s Ghost Stories @ Singapore Sightings.

Chen Tianwen Once Slept In An Office After A Shoot; Felt Something Tugging On His Foot Even Though He Was Alone

On a recent episode of Mr Zhou’s Ghost Stories @ Singapore Sightings, host Dennis Chew, 48, along with guests, Mr Unbelievable Chen Tianwen, Mr Zhou’s Ghost Stories team member Fredde, and metaphysics master Siew Li explored a haunted office and shared tales of their ghostly encounters.

Since the theme of the episode was “haunted offices”, the guests came prepared with stories of creepy incidents they encountered at work.

The actor re-enacted the scene of the creepy incident

Chen Tianwen, 59, had not one, but two stories to share. He recalled an incident 30 years ago, when he had to shoot scenes in an office.

On one particular night, work ended past midnight for Tianwen. Since filming were to resume at the same location early the next morning, he decided to crash in one of the many office rooms.

“I picked one, turned on the air-conditioning, took off my shoes and lay down. Suddenly, something tugged on my foot. I was too tired, so I turned over, kicked it away and continued resting,” he recalled.

Before he knew it, morning came and a crew member entered the room. Tianwen then asked if he had tried to wake him up in the middle of the night, only to find out that the person was the first to arrive on set that morning.

Which meant that Tianwen was alone in the office all night... until today, the actor hasn’t found out who tugged on his foot.

He still hasn't found out who or what tugged his foot

Tianwen then thought of another incident that happened at work.

He went to the toilet around 11pm and checked that all the cubicles were empty before relieving himself at one of the urinals.

It was then that he heard the flush go off in one of the supposedly empty cubicles. He was curious and wanted to investigate further but didn’t dare to get too close at the same time.

He was “terrified” after he saw water flowing in the urinal of one of the cubicles as it meant that someone, or, well, something had flushed it.

Really quite scary

After listening to each other’s stories, Dennis and his guests proceeded to explore the haunted office, with an electro-magnetic field (EMF) detector in hand.

Though the EMF detector had indicated certain “presences” in different corners of the room, nothing out of the norm happened.

It was only when they decided to take a further look into the office attic that they witnessed something.

After Tianwen opened the door to the attic to reveal a flight of stairs in the dark, the group unanimously decided that they did not want to venture into that area.

However, as Tianwen stepped back from the door, it shut by itself, with its handle moving, as though someone was closing it from the other side.

Master Siew Li then said “thank you” in its direction while Dennis was left spooked out of his wits.
