21-Yr-Old Singaporean Earns “6 Digits A Year” Designing & Selling Stickers

Content creator Max Klymenko, better known as the man behind viral series, Career Ladder, has been scouring the streets of Singapore and he's unearthed what could be the next big career trend here.

In his videos, the British-Ukrainian guesses the careers of strangers in under two minutes, while perched on a ladder. 

He has been spotted at the Merlion and Joo Chiat Road in his stop in Singapore. 

One young Singaporean he encountered has a particularly interesting job. After a series of questions, Max was left stumped. 

The local in question is artist and graphic designer Dylan Chia, who runs a sticker business, DCHTOONS. 

The clue he gave Max was that he “creates something that fits in your pocket”.

Dylan revealed he started his business at 17. Now at 21, though he hasn’t gotten his university degree, he makes around “five digits a month” and “six digits a year” selling stickers he designed.

When prompted by Max, Dylan quipped he can get “famous” and “rich” doing what he does. 

He sells his stickers for S$1 each for purchases of five pieces and above to keep his creations affordable. That's a lot of stickers he sells, going by how much he’s able to make from it monthly. 

Dylan’s relatable stickers, which he illustrates on his iPad, come with some of the punniest taglines, like a drawing of the Merlion which says ‘Meowjulah Singapurra’ and a bowl of noodles that say ‘In This Econo-Mee?!’. 

After Max unfortunately, fails the to guess his job, Dylan then gives him a packet of stickers, which the latter proceeds to paste on his iconic ladder. 

Many commenters took a liking to Dylan’s infectious and joyful energy, with some saying they managed to guess his job “almost immediately”. 

Another said: “Earning 5-figure Singaporean dollars making stickers is crazy.”
