Fan Surprises Campus Superstar Champ Ng Cheeyang; Asking Them To Autograph A CD From Their Competition Days

Talk about a blast from the past.
Singer Ng Chee Yang recently got the ultimate trip down memory lane at their recent gig. A fan showed up at their ‘Cheeyang Ng: Homecoming’ showcase with a very specific autograph request involving a CD from the Campus Superstar winner's competition days.
Not just any CD, mind you.
TikToker @honestmaneast brought along the 2006 Best of Campus Superstar compilation album that features a fresh-faced, cherubic-looking Chee Yang back when they were still competing on the singing reality show.
And yes, the same show that Cheeyang went on to win.
In the video posted to TikTok, a smiling Cheeyang was heard exclaiming: “Oh my god! Throwback! Throwback!”
The fan also managed to get Campus Superstar runner-up, Geraldine See, who was there for Cheeyang’s show, to autograph the CD.
8days.sg reached out to Cheeyang, who excitedly told us: “It was nostalgia, [the CD] was in mint condition, and it was beautiful to see support even after 20 years, and that they’re invested in the artist. It’s incredible!”
So, when was the last time they were asked for an autograph?
“Probably during Campus Superstar? So, about 20 years ago?” they laughed.
If you missed Cheeyang’s Homecoming shows this time around, fret not.
Cheeyang will be performing at the TGIF Music Station (SCCC x YES 933) on March 20, before flying back to the United States on March 21.
