“I Can’t Help But Get Teary-Eyed”: Belinda Lee Moved By Husband’s Sweet Gesture During Heavy Downpour
Sometimes, it’s the little things in a relationship that matter most — something local actress-host Belinda Lee, 48, and her husband, American architect David Moore, perfectly displayed in an Instagram reel she shared.
Earlier this week, Belinda was out for run when she got caught in an unexpected downpour. "[The rain] made it almost impossible to see, and I was panting like crazy as I tried to make my way back home," she captioned.
Thankfully, David came to her rescue.
Filming herself already drenched, with her husband standing beside her holding a black umbrella, Belinda said: "My angel showed up in the middle of the park with an umbrella."
She then turned to David: "Baby can I ask, why do you always do that? We've been married for seven years."
His response? "Because I love my wife, and I want to make sure she's okay and not caught in the rain."
Moved by his actions, Belinda admitted to feeling "a bit pathetic" running in the heavy rain. However, when she spotted someone in orange shorts approaching with an umbrella, she had a feeling it might be David.
As it turns out, this wasn’t the only time David had sheltered Belinda from the rain.
Dubbing him her “knight in shining orange armour,” Belinda wrote: “This wasn't our first rainy rodeo, but every time he swoops in to rescue me, I can't help but get teary-eyed.”
Even after many such moments, Belinda said she still feels “incredibly moved and emotional” whenever David appears with an umbrella to walk her home.
“That’s what love is all about — putting each other first. It’s these little acts that make navigating life together so much easier and sweeter!” shared Belinda. She also had this heartfelt message for David: “Thanks for always showing up when I need you, sweetheart! I love you more than words can express!”
Belinda’s followers and celeb pals, including Chantalle Ng and Carrie Yeo, were equally touched by the simple yet heartwarming moment. How wholesome, right?
