Baby No. 2 On The Way For Desmond Tan & Wife

Desmond Tan, 38, and his wife, only known to the public as 'Mrs Tan' are expecting their second child. 

The Mediacorp actor, whose daughter was born last March, took to Instagram earlier today (Apr 3) to announce the happy news. 

“Our little family is growing, and we can’t wait to welcome our baby boy into the world,” wrote Desmond, who has since revealed that the expected due date for their second child will be in “September or October”.

“Having our firstborn reveal the gender of her sibling means the world to us!” he quipped.

In the photos he shared, Desmond and his wife were presented with blue flowers by their daughter. Following the adorable gender reveal, Desmond and Mrs Tan then posed for photos with an ultrasound picture in hand. 

Speaking to 8world in an interview, Desmond revealed that they have yet to give his little girl a nickname, but was recently inspired by fans' comments.

He said: "People have asked me for my wife's name, and I've always referred to her as 'Mrs Tan'. After welcoming our daughter, fans began calling [our baby] 'Miss Tan'. I felt that it sounded better than the nickname I was going to give her, so we've stuck with it. Now, we are known as Mr Tan, Mrs Tan, and Miss Tan!"

Desmond has yet to think of a nickname for their baby boy, but said he will "try his best to think of a creative one".

The couple received many well wishes from their celeb friends including Felicia Chin, Zoe Tay, and Desmond's All That Glitters co-stars Chantalle Ng and Jeremy Chan. 

Fans also sent Desmond congratulatory messages, with one especially cheeky netizen commenting: "So fast."
